Sarpy County approves chiller, road and engineering contracts totaling several million dollars

Deputy Administrator Scott Blobick presented a low bid for the NW Sarpy Road improvements (222nd Street, Centennial Road, Phase 1 of 225th Street) and recommended award to Charles Grama and Sons Construction in the amount of $2,985,018.13; staff said the project is expected to begin in January and complete in 2026.
The board also approved a professional-services agreement supplement with JEO Consulting Group for construction administration on the NW Sarpy Road improvements ($387,490) and awarded JEO a separate engineering services contract for the Platte View Road north–south network in the amount of $84,525. For the 174th Street and Highway 370 traffic signal project staff recommended a construction administration supplement with Lamp Greenersen (transcript spelling varies) for $103,340.93; staff noted long lead times for signal equipment and that NDOT 'warrants' must be met before signals can be activated.
All items were moved, seconded and recorded as 'Motion passed' on the electronic vote screen; the transcript records the motion makers as board members (for example, motions by Warren and Burmeister are recorded on several items) but does not include roll-call tallies. Staff said some projects include private developer contributions and that several bids were substantially under the engineer's cost estimate.
