At its December 2025 meeting the Lincoln County Board of Commissioners approved routine business including claims and treasurer receipts, received the county sheriff's fee report and approved several motor-vehicle tax exemptions.
The board approved county claims and the treasurer's receipts following a motion and roll-call vote. The county sheriff's fee report of $6,980.75 was received by the board. The board also approved motor-vehicle tax-exemption applications recommended by county treasurer Sherry Newton: a 2025 Chrysler Voyager for the Salvation Army and multiple vehicles for North Platte Baptist Church used for transporting people to church and youth activities.
The board authorized the chair to sign a proclamation designating December 2025 and January 2026 as a "season of service," and invited local nonprofit and faith-based organizations to participate in recognition. The board also held brief employee recognitions honoring Melissa Spady of the county veterans service office and Nicole Fisher of the county clerk's office.
These routine approvals were taken by motion and roll call; no additional policy changes were adopted in the routine items.
