The Lancaster County Board of Commissioners approved a consent agenda and multiple administrative items during its Nov. 4 meeting, including claims, payroll disbursements, contract amendments and change orders.
The clerk listed consent items that included amendments to county contracts for used oil and antifreeze collection (C-24-0862), hazardous medical waste pickup (C-22-861 with Stericycle), engineering services (C-24-885 with E & A Consulting Group Inc.), multiple right-of-way contracts with landowners, a utility permit with Panama Energy Center LLC for underground bore of electric cable, and change orders to county contracts with Pavers Inc. to extend project completion dates and add asphalt joint patching repairs. A public hearing was also set for Nov. 18, 2025 regarding an amendment to county resolution 4870 on hours of operation for sale of alcoholic liquors.
Separately, the board approved Item 2a (claims including payroll through 10/29/2025) and Item 2b, which approved claims beyond the 90-day statutory period under Nebraska Revised Statute 23-135 for a vendor dated 11/03/2025 totaling $17,408.43. All actions were moved, seconded and passed by roll call.
Other contracts approved under consent (moved later in the agenda) included a lease for records-management space with the City of Lincoln (Item 5d), a contract with Jones Automotive Inc. for emergency equipment not to exceed $23,345.26 (Item 5e), and a final owner-occupied rehabilitation housing program contract for $7,900 (Item 5f). These items were listed on the consent agenda or approved following staff presentations and were recorded as carried by roll call.
