County approves agreement to credential Mental Health Crisis Center for Devoted Health Medicare Advantage

The Lancaster County Board on Dec. 2 approved an agreement enabling the Mental Health Crisis Center to become an in-network provider for Devoted Health's Medicare Advantage plans, a step county and center officials said could expand payment options for patients.
Scott Ellerton of the Mental Health Crisis Center described the arrangement as adding a new payer to credentialed providers so the Crisis Center can bill Devoted Health members. "This is a new company that was coming into the marketplace, and we're just contracting with them so if anyone has coverage with them, we can potentially bill under them," Ellerton said.
The board moved and approved the agreement by roll call. Ellerton said the center expects additional credentialing requests in the near term that may come to the board for signature.
