The Crockett County Board of Commissioners approved a wide-ranging consent agenda at its Dec. 10, 2025 meeting that included grant applications, reappointments to local boards, routine purchases and multiple budgeted maintenance invoices.
The board approved reappointment of Jill Withy to the CATA board of directors for a five-year term beginning Jan. 1, 2026, after a county representative said the recruitment included social-media postings and legal notices and called her "the strongest candidate." Commissioners also approved three-year terms running 2026–2028 for Mark Ross (Benson Memorial Library), Fritz Plecker (Meadville Public Library) and Carol Thum (Cambridge Springs Public Library).
Multiple departments won routine approvals. Voter services ratified a $6,375 payment to the Meadville Tribune for election-notice publication, to be paid from election-integrity grant funding. The IT office gained approval for a yearly ProxyPro license ($2,914.38), Park Place hardware support ($12,101.46) and a third-year courthouse UPS maintenance contract ($2,364.96). County GIS ratified invoices to Civic Vanguard totaling $14,190 for GIS services. The district attorney’s office received approval to purchase legal file folders and crime report cards for $2,409.95, and the public defender was authorized to purchase a reimbursable 72-inch desk for $3,906.12.
Human services ratified a facilities agreement with Allegheny College for CIT trainings (Jan. 26–30, 2026) at no county cost, paid from crisis grant funds, and approved an amendment to the Erie Homes contract adding a procedure code for community participation support services. Finance approved several match and reimbursement items for Crawford County Human Services and community health services, including a MATP trip reimbursement of $61,436. Tyler Technologies project management services totaling $16,200 were also approved.
The board approved multiple county-maintenance items: courthouse remodeling charges, boiler maintenance, a new condensate tank and Fairgrounds sealcoat work. Courts-related items — judicial robe purchase, court-reporter memberships and a cleaning contract for the MDJ Titusville office — were also ratified.
Most motions were moved, seconded and passed by roll call with little discussion. Commissioners briefly corrected wording on one HR resolution seeking a statewide local share assessment grant for a senior center in Cambridge Springs (transcript: “Cambridge Springsborough”), but approved the request. The meeting closed with routine personnel rate-setting items for 2026 across several departments and adjournment.
The board did not take substantive, contested votes on policy changes during the session; the items listed above were approved as presented and are administrative or budgeted actions. The next full session was noted for Dec. 24, 2025.
