Beaufort County announced that county offices will be closed Thursday, Jan. 1, in observance of the New Year’s Day holiday. Convenience centers will be closed Wednesday, Dec. 31, and Thursday, Jan. 1, and are scheduled to resume normal hours Friday, Jan. 2.

The county reported that operations at Hilton Head Island Airport will remain available during the holiday. Beaufort Executive Airport will operate on a modified schedule; the broadcast noted self-serve AV fuel will be available there. Beaufort County emergency services and law enforcement personnel are expected to remain on duty during the holiday period.
