Council approves rezoning of 122 Old Mount Moriah Road after acreage correction (Ordinance 2025-31)

During a public hearing, Planning Director Carol Coleman told Greenwood County Council that the rezoning in Ordinance 2025-31 applies to a parcel at 122 Old Mount Moriah Road and that the previously stated acreage should be corrected from 6.66 acres to 3.27 acres. She said the property is a winery site with an adjacent commercial parcel that will remain commercial; the parcel with the house sought rezoning back to residential use.
Coleman stated that staff and the planning commission support the rezoning. Chair opened the floor for public comment and recorded that no one spoke in favor or opposition. The council then moved forward and approved Ordinance 2025-31 on the floor.
