Brown County OKs multiple rezoning ordinances, right-of-way permits and routine contracts
Summary
The commission approved multiple rezoning ordinances (Nos. 312–317), granted right-of-way and utility permits (Midco, Northern Valley, K & H Electric), and carried routine consent calendar items including minutes, payroll claims, HR report and the CDBG YMCA grant documents.
Brown County commissioners approved a slate of land-use and administrative items in a single block of votes during the meeting.
Rezoning ordinances: The commission read and approved Ordinances 312, 313, 314, 315, 316 and 317, each amending Title 4 to rezone described properties (petitioners and descriptions were read into the record). No public comment was offered on these items and each ordinance passed by voice vote.
Right-of-way and utility permits: County staff and Dirk Rogers reported on several right-of-way items. The commission approved a Midco cable install near the hospital curve, a Northern Valley installation (which experienced a water-line strike during work), and a K & H Electric request for a single-phase service under a county road. Motions for these permits passed by voice vote.
Consent calendar and contracts: The commission approved routine business items including approval of the 11/04/2025 meeting minutes, claims and payroll, HR report, Plansville tonnage report for October, travel requests, auditors' accounts for September 2025, a radio contract for the 2026 Brown County Fair and an All Season Motorsport contract for fair dates in 2627.
Each of the above passed by motion and voice vote as recorded in the meeting minutes.
