Exchange Club’s 'Jackson’s Got Talent' seeks acts; deadline Nov. 15

Contestants must submit a 90-second or shorter audition video along with a $100 entry fee. After auditions, organizers will select about 10 finalists ("the more the merrier," Connor said) and contestants are expected to fundraise in support of the children the center serves; organizers said participants typically raise roughly $2,500 each and that last year’s event raised more than $47,000.
Connor said the event is both a performance showcase and a fundraiser for the Carl Perkins Center; prospective performers can apply at carlperkinscenter.org under the events tab, pick up a paper application at the center, or call for assistance. The segment emphasized that the event is a community fundraiser to support prevention and family-strengthening programs.
