Rhea County commissioners voted Oct. 21 to accept a $3,635 non-matching grant for library archives and to appoint Mike Jolley to the county’s Industrial Development Board.
Chair introduced the library-archives resolution, noting the grant is non-matching and administered through state library archives in cooperation with the county. A motion to accept the grant was moved, seconded and carried on a roll-call vote.
Separately, the commission nominated Mike Jolley to serve on the Rhea County Industrial Development Board; the appointment was moved, seconded and approved. The record shows Jolley’s term will expire in March 2029.
Both actions were recorded by the clerk during roll-call and entered into the meeting minutes. The commission provided no conditions to either the grant acceptance or the appointment in the meeting record.
