Erath County commissioners accept official results of Nov. 4 constitutional amendment election

Erath County commissioners voted to accept the official results of the Nov. 4, 2025 constitutional amendment election at a Nov. 17 special session.

Miss Lana Stevens presented the results and said, “This is the results, the official results of the election, and I just need y'all to accept it.” She reported “there was 4,897 ballots cast” out of “26,416 registered voters.” Stevens said she had already submitted the results to the Secretary of State.

The presiding official then moved to accept the results. In the court’s words, “I make a motion to accept the results from the 11/04/2025 constitutional amendment election as presented by Ms. Stevens.” Commissioner Stevens seconded the motion. The court approved the acceptance by voice vote; the record shows commissioners answered “aye” and no opposition was voiced.
