Trinity County proclaims October 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month

The Trinity County Commissioners Court on Oct. 14 adopted a proclamation declaring October 2025 Breast Cancer Awareness Month in the county.
The proclamation, read aloud during the meeting, cited national estimates for invasive breast cancer and urged residents to take proactive steps for early detection. "We do hereby set aside and proclaim the month of October 2025 as breast cancer awareness month in Trinity County," the court read during the motion to adopt.
Court members moved and seconded the proclamation and approved it by voice vote. Court staff noted that, following signing, they would take a group photograph with anyone present who wished to participate.
The proclamation encourages county residents to seek recommended screenings and to use the month for public education. The court took no further action on the item beyond the proclamation and photo plans.
