Mayor praises volunteers after 20th annual Christmas parade; council opens application for planning commission vacancy

During the mayor's report the mayor announced a vacancy on the planning commission after Jeanne decided to step down. The mayor said the council will accept letters of interest and proposed a cutoff for applications around January 2 to give the council a week to review submissions.
At public comment, resident Sheila Bressinger raised concerns about the exterior color proposed for the Rack Theater renovation and recommended a barn-gray shade. The mayor replied that the town does not regulate paint colors and said the planning commission will consider community input when it next meets.
The meeting closed after brief logistical discussion about the holiday party and a roll-call appointment for an Architectural Review Board vacancy. Council adjourned following a voice vote.
