Halifax County Board ratifies Ron Bridal as county administrator, approves related personnel transitions

Board members noted that, pursuant to Morgan’s employment agreement, she was to receive 30 days’ notice following appointment of a new administrator and that she will remain for a 30-day transition period to aid handover.
The board approved appointments connected to the transition: the new county administrator was appointed to serve as clerk of the board, and the administrator’s seat on the Community Criminal Justice Board will be filled by the appointee. Board members also reappointed existing members to that board as listed in their meeting memo, with one vacancy described in the memo as “TBD.”
After the votes, the board invited the public to a future meet-and-greet with staff member Sabrina; details on time and place were to be announced. The board set its next regular meeting for Nov. 3, 2025, and adjourned.
"Just honored to to be back home, in this capacity," the new administrator said after the vote, adding that he intended to make his family and the county proud.
