Roanoke County Board removes Blue Ridge Parkway item, approves appointments and consent agenda, and moves to closed session

The Roanoke County Board of Supervisors on Oct. 28 amended its agenda, approved appointments and the consent agenda by roll call, and recessed for a work session and a closed session to discuss prospective business.

Early in the meeting Mr. Kaye asked that New Business item D1 — a resolution concerning support for funding, repairs and strategic implementation of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation strategic plan, quoted in the transcript as "Blue Ridge Rising" — be removed so he and Mr. Glunt could perform additional research. "I would propose that, the Board remove item, new business item D1, which is a resolution, concerning support for funding and repairs and strategic implementation of the Blue Ridge Parkway Foundation strategic plan, quote, 'Blue Ridge Rising,' unquote," Mr. Kaye said.
