Open Space Committee approves minutes and two reserve transfers totaling $202,877

County staff asked the committee to transfer $183,332 from the open space reserve into the operating account to complete the Tanner Ridge PDR project in the town of Stillwater; the consultant and county auditor have approved the contract and staff said the transfer will allow the project to be closed by the end of the year. The committee moved and seconded the motion and approved it by voice vote.
The committee then approved a separate transfer from the county trails development reserve of $19,545 to the trails grant program to cover two approved reimbursement requests (authorized previously by resolutions in 2023 and 2024). Jason Kemper told the committee that auditors have approved the reimbursements and staff regularly pull reimbursements quarterly.
Meeting minutes and reserve transfers were approved by voice votes; the transcript records ayes but does not record individual roll-call tallies. No motions were amended during the meeting and no votes failed.
The committee's next steps are routine accounting actions to move the approved funds and continued monitoring of outstanding projects; staff reported roughly 10 open-space projects and about 27 trail projects remain active and that several are expected to close during the first quarter of 2026.
