County Executive Craig Guy joined remarks recognizing the board’s support for schools and student opportunities.
Bruhn, who addressed the board, said the work at Washington Park was motivated by care for young people. “What I did was I did for my heart. For the kids, for the community,” he said.
The board voted to adopt the resolution and invited the honoree and family forward for photographs.
The dedication closes a formal recognition by the county; the board recorded the vote and authorized county executive or a designated administrator to execute any documents needed to implement the resolution.
