In routine business the Scott County Board of Commissioners approved or advanced several administrative items:
- IT/fiber contract: Commissioners reviewed a proposed extension of fiber/IT services and authorized a county official to sign the contract outside the meeting so services can be executed; no cost change was reported in the packet.
- Transfer station compliance: Staff presented draft standard operating procedures required under an Indiana Department of Environmental Management (IDEM) agreed order and reported an extension to achieve compliance. Commissioners directed staff to solicit an environmental consultant to prepare a stormwater pollution-prevention plan specific to the transfer station.
- Health insurance vendor change: The board authorized cancellation of the county's Cigna coverage effective Jan. 1, 2026, to transition to Anthem and approved signing necessary documents for the new agreement outside a meeting.
- Recovery Court fund: The board approved Ordinance 22 to establish a nonreverting fund to track grant revenues and expenses for the Scott County Recovery Court program; the ordinance was forwarded for appropriation steps.
The board also handled routine approvals of invoices and payroll (some items were tabled pending additional signatures) and discussed personnel advertising for veteran services and community corrections interim staffing. The meeting ended with adjournment.
