Commissioners to seek $15,000 match for Children's Advocacy Center from county funds

She requested a range but said a $15,000 county allocation would be her preference this year. Commissioners discussed available unrestricted funds and whether the item needed council appropriation; staff noted $69,000 in unrestricted funds had been discussed and the item would be sent to county council for appropriation.
A motion was made at the meeting to provide $15,000 from the county's unrestricted opioid settlement funds as Scott County's portion of the match and to forward the resolution and appropriation request to county council. Commissioners said they support the CAC as a critical resource and asked for reporting on how funds are used.
