Troy and other staff engineers prepared plans to ensure adequate cover over tile and to correct areas where tile had been laid too shallow or where tile was showing holes. A speaker from the surveyor’s office said engineered plans were completed so reconstruction could move forward. The board moved, seconded and approved the consent waiver on a voice vote; the transcript records “Motion carries.”
Why it matters: Reconstructing a nonfunctional or partially failed drain can restore agricultural drainage and reduce localized flooding for multiple landowners. The project will proceed under county-regulated specifications and engineering oversight.
