Separately, county staff presented three discrete quotes to modernize the fuel system: $23,396.58 to rewire the fuel island with shielded cable; $16,075.21 to remove the existing reader and install a smart‑fill, hard‑lock fob system with training; and $18,000.50 to upgrade TLS 300 dispensers to TLS 450 series and integrate existing probes and sensors. Staff explained the quotes cover separate components of the system and that combining all work into a single package could trigger different vetting rules.
Commissioners asked staff to solicit secondary quotes and to contact Keystone Cooperative about possible multi‑year financing tied to fuel purchases. No procurement award was made at the meeting; staff said the department will return with tabulations and any additional vendor quotes.
