County IT director flags need for nearly $500,000 courthouse security overhaul, reports Cellebrite procurement

The IT director said the IT committee approved moving forward with Cellebrite, a digital-forensics product, and that the county expects to receive roughly $11,000 in donor support from an organization identified in the transcript as "Owl Rescue," contingent on a contract signed before year-end. He said the county would also seek grants for election-related equipment.
The board discussed options for integrating the Richland County Development Corporation (RCDC) into county IT support under subscription arrangements and asked staff to obtain quotes for the security upgrade and related projects before further decisions.
