Summary

Staff requested permission to surplus a military generator the county acquired roughly a decade ago but has been unable to get working. A nearby county offered to accept the unit for parts and to compensate Ware County for the salvage value.
Because the generator was acquired as government property, staff said it must be transferred to another government entity rather than sold to a private party. Commissioners agreed to allow the transfer so the neighboring county could use the generator for parts or repairs.
