The Ware County Board of Commissioners voted to approve a five-year memorandum of understanding renewing the county's relationship with the University of Georgia Extension office. Staff said the prior agreement dated to 2020 and the renewal will continue extension services that provide soil testing, youth programs and other community outreach.
Commissioners praised extension and 4‑H programming; one commissioner noted attendance at a recent banquet and complimented the extension facilities. The motion to renew the MOU was moved, seconded and carried by voice vote.
