Staff seeks abandonment of small alley in Emerson Park subdivision; no utilities reported

Planning staff told Ware County commissioners on Nov. 13 that Mr. Bennett requested abandonment of an alley (Tupac White Alley) in Block 218 of the Emerson Park subdivision.
Staff described the alley’s centerline location, saying it lies about 425 feet southeast of New Jersey Avenue and Metro Avenue intersection and extends to New Jersey Avenue, measuring roughly 500 feet in length and 10 feet in width. Staff told the board there are no utility poles or water lines currently in the alley.
A commissioner noted the alley was part of a former mobile home park and that a single owner now holds the adjacent lots. No residents objected at the hearing, and commissioners carried the alley-closing item over for later action.
The county did not take a final vote on abandonment during the hearing.
