Waycross resident urges Ware County to trim overgrowth on Pascall Road after repeated complaints

The commission discussed whether parts of Pascall Road are under contract for paving — which can limit county crews’ ability to perform work — and whether the right-of-way in the problematic stretches remains under county control. Public-works staff said some sections are scheduled for paving and cannot be disturbed until the contractor completes certain tasks; they confirmed, however, that where the county retains the right-of-way crews can be deployed to trim vegetation.
Commissioners instructed public works to prioritize dangerous blind spots and send crews to mow or trim sightline hazards where doing so would not conflict with contractor work. The board also discussed following up with the contractor (Thrift Brothers was mentioned in the discussion) to determine timing so interim trimming can be scheduled without affecting future paving work.
