Ware County commissioners ask staff to study alcohol delivery, seek up to 120 days to vet legal and operational rules

Commissioners in Ware County asked staff and county counsel to research whether and how alcoholic-beverage deliveries could be allowed into the county and requested up to 120 days to report back.

The request followed several commissioners’ questions about how delivery services would verify age, whether deliveries from city establishments could bypass county restrictions, and which party would be legally responsible if alcohol were handed to an underage recipient.
