Roshanda Terry of the Anson County Cooperative Extension presented the office’s annual report and accompanying infographics, noting program activity and staffing reductions. "I think last year we was down 1 person, this year we're down 3," Terry said, adding that staffing was expected to return to nine when hires are completed and that remaining staff supplied strong program delivery despite vacancies.
The meeting also featured a short video and a presentation by Harvest to Home Farms. David Hall and Lisa Hall described their small operation’s expansion: since 2019–2020 the farm has grown from processing about 50 chickens a year to roughly 800 broilers in 2025, sells directly at the Anson County Farmers Market and sources feed from local grain producers. The farmers said they avoid antibiotics and hormones in feed and emphasized customer education and humane handling.
The board thanked Extension staff for the report and the farmers for their presentation. No formal board action was taken on the report; Extension materials were provided in the meeting packet.
