Commissioners discussed reasons the school board may have moved its meetings (sports scheduling) but said the county's role as a major school funder merited a request for different scheduling to preserve public access.
A separate line of remarks addressed national politics and organizations such as Turning Point USA and referenced a recent violent event; those comments were partisan and expressive in tone and some commissioners said they intended to question schools and community colleges about any affiliated activities. The board did not take formal action regarding Turning Point USA; commissioners said they would raise such questions when related entities come before the board.
