District 99 rolls out Infinite Campus; attendance scanning and reports highlighted
Summary
District staff reported on the Infinite Campus migration from eSchoolPlus and the launch of scanning-based attendance. Staff described new reports (including an "unaccounted for students" report) and said summer 2026 registration and enrollment will be built in.
District leaders told the CHSD 99 Board on Dec. 15 that the district has migrated from eSchoolPlus to Infinite Campus and has been using scanning to improve attendance accuracy and reporting.
The presenter described Infinite Campus as the district’s new system of record and said it supports parent and student portals, data connections to tools such as ParentSquare and advanced reporting. The district piloted building entrance scanning and next deployed classroom and office scanning for attendance; staff highlighted a newly created "unaccounted for students" report that cross-checks building-entry scans against period attendance to locate students who are in the building but missing from class rosters.
Administrators said they run Monday/Thursday teacher reports showing students with single-period skips and that the system is being used for summer-school registration and incoming-freshmen enrollment for 2026.
Board members asked whether legacy tools would be used going forward; presenters said the district migrated to Infinite Campus and retains some previous functionality within the new system. Staff called the migration a large project completed while the district continued operations and praised building-level adoption of the scanning initiative.
