The Community High School District 99 Board of Education voted Dec. 15 to approve the district’s 2025 tax levy at $119,202,971, a motion moved, seconded and carried by roll call.
Drew (district business officer) told the board that the figure remains the same as the tentative levy presented last month because final assessor values had not yet been received. He said staff will receive actual figures from the county in March and return to the board in April with final tax rates and the final levy certification.
Board members moved and seconded the formal approval; a roll-call vote recorded 'Aye' votes from all present members, and the motion carried.
District staff said the board’s vote authorizes staff to proceed with the levy documents required under the state truth-in-taxation law; final rate calculations and the certificate of tax levy will be adjusted after county-assessor data are posted in March.
The levy approval was listed as an action item on Dec. 15 and will be reflected in the district’s FY 2026 budgeting process once final rates are calculated.
