RSU 10 board approves new hires, including science teacher with emergency certification

On the superintendent's recommendation, the board then considered and approved hiring Melissa to a science-teacher position at Mountain Valley High School. Speaker 4 described Melissa's background: a bachelor's in community health education, a minor in nutrition, long-term substitute experience in the role this year, and an emergency teaching certificate from the Department of Education. "She is committed to doing that," Speaker 4 said of Melissa's plan to obtain conditional and then professional certification.
A motion to approve the superintendent's recommendation was seconded and approved by voice vote; the board welcomed Melissa to the staff.
