County commissioners moved and seconded the amendment and carried the measure in a roll-call on the county side: Commissioner Boots — Yes; Commissioner Green — Yes; Commissioner Sweeter — Yes; Commissioner Otten — Abstain; Commissioner Scott — Yes. On the city side, a motion to approve the same amendment was made and seconded and recorded as carried by voice vote (the transcript did not record a city-side roll call).
Supporters said the change would help synchronize deadlines and reduce scheduling conflicts for applicants and staff. There were no public comments on the proposal during the meeting.
