County staff and IMAG representatives presented bids for a Brown County railroad crossing project and reviewed procurement requirements. The clerk read the bid amounts aloud: VX Civil & Construction — $412,541.70; Puff Construction — $359,937.15; Sudlow Inc — $349,922.24; Reedy Construction Inc — $289,361.75; Timmins Construction — $605,537.04. Commissioners agreed to check numbers and referred the bids for further review and consideration; Commissioner Lee made the motion and Commissioner Keith seconded, and the motion carried.

Separately, staff recommended awarding the Road 14 reconstruction project. Commissioner Dinger moved to award the Road 14 project, seconded by Weese; following brief discussion the commission approved the award (motion carried). The packet includes award recommendation paperwork and contract terms; staff will finalize contract documents and return for signature as needed.
