Pickleball organizers ask Henry County to designate JC Park as preferred site for covered facility

He described pickleball’s multigenerational appeal and argued the covered facility could host tournaments and bring economic activity to local restaurants and hotels.
Worker told the board the Harvest Foundation had indicated conditional support subject to board review of a finalized plan and budget. Board members asked for more precise cost estimates and said budget discussions would be the appropriate forum for detailed requests.
What’s next: Pickleball proponents will prepare cost and funding estimates for inclusion in future budget or project discussions; the board did not make a site designation during the meeting.
