Central Texas relief funds distribute $3.35 million to flood survivors; applications for round 2 open

Central Texas Community Foundation representatives and county judges from Travis and Williamson counties on Monday announced that $3,350,000 in short-term recovery assistance has been distributed to more than 100 households affected by the July 5 floods.
"We began distributing $3,350,000 in short term recovery assistance to more than 100 residents of Travis and Williamson Counties," said Amy, a representative of the Central Texas Community Foundation. She said the funds were delivered as checks or direct ACH payments through Wilco Cares and Travis County Cares.
Judge Andy Brown of Travis County said the combined effort reached 115 residents across both counties in the first round, with about 80 Travis County residents receiving approximately $2,500,000. "These collective efforts mean that 115 residents across our 2 counties began receiving direct financial support last month, totaling $3,350,000 in short term recovery funds," Brown said.
