Board honors retiring county employees and reappoints Patriot Center advisory members

At its Dec. 16 meeting the Henry County Board of Supervisors adopted resolutions honoring three long-serving county employees who are retiring.
The board honored Jennifer Ashworth for her long service in the Clerk of Courts office, recognizing efforts to digitize records and her election as clerk in 2016. The board also adopted a resolution recognizing Rand (Ray) Cunningham for decades of service at the Martinsville-Henry County 9-1-1 center and Pam Mason for 25-plus years with county public safety and later parks and recreation.
Following the closed session certification, the board reappointed Darrell Emerson, Richard Hall, Tim Pace, Nubby Coleman and Gary Gibson to two-year terms on the Patriot Center advisory board and appointed Michael Scales to fill an open seat. Each appointment was supported by a motion and approved by the board.
