The Tompkins County Human Services Committee unanimously approved a slate of reappointments to advisory boards and committees on Dec. 15, advancing the selections to the full legislature.
The committee approved reappointments for the Community Mental Health Service Board — including Thomas Kelly and Mary Hutchins — and members for mental health subcommittees and substance use and developmental disability subcommittees. It also approved a reappointment to the Office for the Aging advisory committee (Deborah Rowe) and several Human Rights Commission seats (including Molyn Kwe and Margaret Ricco).
Committee members moved and seconded the items and the chair called the question; each item passed unanimously. No discussion or public dissent was recorded for the consent items.
The approvals were taken early in the agenda as routine business. The chair said the committee would proceed to other business after the consent votes.
The committee’s action sends the reappointments forward so they can be processed according to county procedures and scheduled for final legislative consideration as required.
