Commissioners focused on warranty periods and turf longevity. One commissioner expressed concern that a one-year installation warranty alone would be inadequate on a $300,000 equipment investment; staff and the project manager clarified the installation warranty is one year while product manufacturers provide longer limited warranties (e.g., 15-year prorated turf warranty and 25-year coating warranty for some metal elements; see packet pg. 87–88). Staff also confirmed the new surface is intended to meet ADA accessibility standards and that sidewalks and gate access would be adjusted as needed.
The CRA board approved the resolution with a 4–0 vote; public comment was not offered on the item during the approval.
