Commissioners approved a resolution to transfer a county-owned parcel (identified in an attached survey and a Wetzel-provided land map) from Veterans Parkway to the CDC, enabling the CDC and then the CIC to transfer the parcel to Buck 50 for construction of a storage facility.
Speaker 5 described the transfer and said the county had worked with Charlie Orsman to address two concerns: a reversionary interest so that if Buck 50 or the CIC no longer exists the property would revert to the county, and a requirement that any lighting or signage receive CIC approval and not impede county access. Speaker 5 said the CIC meets the next day and this action is the final county step before the CIC can complete its work.
The resolution was moved and seconded and commissioners voted 'aye.' Speaker 5 and other commissioners said the county has no direct financial role in Buck 50's project but supports the organization as a local community event and service provider.
