Richland County—Board members approved adjusted county claims and non-county claims and accepted a pay estimate for an ongoing EJ Water project as part of the consent agenda. During the finance report Speaker 1 reviewed line-item corrections, late claims and recommended approval.
The finance presenter identified specific adjustments: a duplicate CTS technology charge of $1,244.08 to be removed; a $9.98 late IT hardware claim to O—Reilly; a recorder equipment line showing $11,450 that should read $1,145; and automation-fund digitization work of approximately $24,000. The finance committee recommended approval of county claims totaling $136,048.71 and non-county claims totaling $179,651.84.
Consultant Seth Block gave a short update on the county—s EJ Water grant project and presented pay estimate number 4 for $41,589.67, which Speaker 4 clarified was covered under the consent agenda. Block said the project has approximately 1,200 feet in place and that the contractor—s fixed bid covers the work; reimbursements flow county —> DCO —> contractor after the board executes the pay estimate.
Speaker 1 moved to approve the claims as adjusted; a second was offered and the board approved the motion by voice vote. The consent waiver was also moved and approved earlier in the meeting, which included the EJ Water pay estimate.
The board did not debate the total grant amount during the consent vote; Speaker 103 previously stated the project is tied to a $1,500,000 grant. Board members were invited to direct technical or project questions to Seth Block or county staff.
Next steps: the approved pay estimate will be executed and sent to the reimbursing authority (referred to in the transcript as DCO) for disbursement to the county, which will then issue payment to the contractor.
