Commissioners approve special use permit to open childcare at Lockwood Community and Senior Center

Jessica Prager presented the application and staff recommendation, noting the building was designed with the childcare use in mind, the room has an attached outdoor area, notices were sent to the community and no adverse written or verbal comments were received. The Planning Commission recommended approval on Dec. 4 by a 6–0 vote.
Prager read the required findings of fact into the record, which stated the proposal conforms to the county master plan, will not cause undue adverse effects on adjacent properties or public infrastructure, and will be adequately served by county improvements and services. Commissioner Mitchell moved to approve the special use permit; the motion was seconded and passed unanimously.
