District describes progress on three school construction projects and Oak Ridge HVAC replacement

Operations also updated the board on an Oak Ridge chiller/HVAC replacement. The presenter said the district received about $1,000,000 from the Public School Facilities Improvement Program for the project and that a custom chiller is on site with installation scheduled to complete well before next summer’s cooling season; staff noted the urgency because the original chiller failed at the start of the school year.
