Committees advance 27 instructional items and personnel report to full board

Two committees on Nov. 10 moved a slate of consent and personnel items to the full Mill Creek Township School District board meeting at the end of the month.

Instruction & Student Services: the committee approved forwarding agenda items 3.01–3.27 to the full board. Those items include winter athletic schedules for the 2025–26 school year, conference travel requests (National Art Education Association conference — $2,894 for one staff member; SHAPE PE conference — $2,975 for one teacher), a five‑year internship agreement with Slippery Rock University, ELA curriculum revisions for grades 6–8, 18 new course proposals for 2026–27 (examples: honors anatomy & physiology 2 — up to $6,300; honors chemistry for health sciences; modern warfare; welding & fabrication; robotics 3; applied digital skills/Microsoft Office essentials), course title changes and a one‑year interpreting services agreement for translation/interpretation.

Personnel & Policy: the committee moved policy consolidations and rescissions (multiple policy numbers) and a personnel committee report (3.14) to the full board. The personnel report lists resignations, recommendations for long‑term substitutes, special‑education assistant recommendations, status changes, leaves and supplemental assignments across Asbury, Bell Valley, Grandview, Tracy, Walnut Creek, Westlake, J.S. Wilson, McDowell and the Mill Creek Education Center.

Votes and next step: both committees approved the motions by voice vote and directed administration to place the items on the full board agenda for final action at the Nov. 24 meeting.
