Harvey County commissioners approve minutes and warrants, recess into executive session with no action

Commissioners accepted warrant checks for Nov. 25 totaling $135,558.10 on a motion and then authorized staff to issue warrant checks during the next two weeks when the board will not meet. Commissioner Rick asked staff to forward copies of warrant checks for mid-December review; staff agreed to include commissioners in the distribution email.
Later in the meeting the board recessed into executive session under a Kansas statute exception to consult with the county attorney on privileged matters. The open meeting was scheduled to resume at 10:05 a.m., then the executive session was extended 20 minutes to 10:26 a.m. The public meeting resumed and no action was taken following the executive session. The board then adjourned; the next meeting is scheduled for Dec. 16.
