The Harvey County Board of Commissioners approved multiple appointments during the Nov. 25 meeting.
Joshua Smith was recommended by the Parks department and approved for a three-year term on the Harvey County Parks Advisory Board. Commissioners clarified term dates during the meeting and completed the appointment by motion.
Lynette Reddington, director of the Harvey County Health Department and coordinator of the Food and Farm Council, presented five nominees for the council. She said Madison Moseman will represent the Harvey County Farm Bureau through December 2028, Patsy Penner will continue representing older adults through December 2028, Catherine Moffitt (community health facilitator) will fill the health-department seat through December 2028, Kendra Dalvia (executive director of Peace Connections) will complete a term through December 2026 representing services for at-risk populations, and Wanda Black will serve one year through December 2026 to fulfill a farming representative rotation.
Commissioner (unnamed) moved to approve the appointments and the board voted in favor. Reddington said the council will present a 10-year review on Dec. 16 and that additional appointments will be considered at that time.
The meeting record includes the names and term lengths as stated by Reddington; it does not include application materials or candidate backgrounds beyond the affiliations she reported.
