Christopher John Robert Odom entered a guilty plea to driving under the influence in Clayton County State Court on Dec. 30, 2025 (case 2025CR10958). The state described officer observations from Nov. 18, 2025, including erratic behavior, pinpoint pupils, and refusal of implied-consent testing; the defendant initially provided a false name, later identified as Christopher Odom.
The court accepted a recommended disposition. Odom was sentenced to 12 months with 35 days to serve, credit for time already served, and the balance probated. Additional conditions include a $500 fine (with surcharges likely increasing the total), completion of a substance-abuse evaluation and any recommended treatment, completion of a risk-reduction course, 140 hours of community service, random alcohol and drug testing, and a prohibition on alcohol or illicit drugs during supervision. The judge also imposed a special condition that Odom not drive while under the sentence; if found driving, the condition will be treated as a violation subjecting him to possible additional jail time.
Prosecutors noted prior DUI history and an unresolved matter in Griffin, Ga.; defense counsel confirmed family support and a pending plan for in-house treatment in Johns Creek. The court and counsel discussed drug-court eligibility and determined Odom did not qualify for drug court under the cited policy.
The judge stressed the public-safety rationale for treatment and the driving prohibition, and accepted the plea and sentence as entered on the record.
