Catherine Harper was confirmed as board president during the district’s annual organizational meeting, after receiving a nomination and a roll-call vote that the board carried 4-0. Annette Coonsie was elected vice president and Casey Rabois was elected clerk in subsequent roll-call votes, each approved unanimously.

The board also voted to appoint the superintendent as secretary to the board and adopted the regular meeting schedule, keeping meetings on the third Wednesday of each month except July. Trustees assigned representatives and alternates to standing committees and external organizations, including CAST, Transportation and the Sacramento County School Boards Association; the board approved the slate of committee representatives by motion.

All officer elections and routine governance items were approved by recorded votes during the meeting. The board will continue to operate under the adopted governance calendar and committee assignments until the next organizational session.
