Melissa told commissioners the amendment would enable development plans — including a proposed amphitheater on one lot — and that required items such as replatting, title company conditions and certain environmental items must be finalized prior to closing. The amendment sets a closing target date of Dec. 19, 2025, while allowing parties limited ability to amend conditions prior to closing.
Commissioners voted to approve the amendment and authorized the mayor to execute documents necessary to carry out the closing; the motion passed 7‑0.
