The Schererville Waterworks Board and Town Council completed routine year-end business on Dec. 30, 2020, approving bookkeeping transfers and formally authorizing one property acquisition.
Waterworks Board action: The Waterworks Board approved Resolution 2025-3, a transfer of funds within Water O&M appropriations to close out the fiscal year. The board recorded the motion as carried 3–0.
Town Council actions: The Town Council approved Resolution 2025-13, a series of intra-budget transfers described by the clerk/treasurer as standard year-end bookkeeping; the motion carried on a recorded voice vote of 5–0.
Also on the council agenda, members approved acquisition of property at 102–104 Kennedy Avenue in Schererville for $23,100 to obtain permanent and temporary right-of-way for Kennedy Avenue Phase 3 (Parcel 12). Director of Operations Andy Hanson said the figure was "based on the appraisal and a supplemental amount based on comparable properties in the area." The council delegated authority to municipal staff and counsel to finalize documents; the motion recorded 5–0.
All formal actions taken at these meetings were votes to approve routine fiscal housekeeping and a small-value right-of-way purchase.
